Thank You
We are grateful
The Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre is powered in part by the support of individuals, businesses, and organizations. Sponsorships and donations of funds and services help us meet the food, clothing, and assistance needs in our area.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Matt, Amanda, Kaya & Kingi
We are deeply grateful to Matt, Amanda, Kaya, and Kingi for their incredible donation of baby formula, as well as their kind gesture of dropping off an additional 20 cases of formula from another donor. Your generosity, made in memory of Olivia Marigold, beloved niece and cousin, touches all of us at the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre (BDFRC). Baby formula and diapers are among the items we run out of most frequently. With over 2,150 individuals relying on us each month from 31 surrounding communities, and 53% of those we help being children, these donations make an enormous difference. Thank you for helping us continue to support the families who depend on us, and for honoring Olivia's memory in such a meaningful way. Your kindness is truly appreciated.
LVSchell donates plot for Food Bank to create Lasagna Garden
Thanks to LVSchell Construction who donated a city plot for us to use for the gardening season. We created a "Lasagna Garden" on the plot. A lasagna garden is a design using no digging or tilling. It is composed of alternating layers of organic material, filled with long term nutrition for your garden soil and plants. Check out our blog for more information.
Fishing for Food Banks 2021
Nice catch! A big thank you to Len Thompson’s Fishing for Food Banks™ program, and to Leisure Time Sports Excellence in Battleford for carrying these limited edition lures. 50% of the proceeds of these lures supports food banks and food security programs across Canada, including the Battlefords District Food & Resource Centre.
Battleford Furniture
Thank you Battleford Furniture for purchasing and donating local honey for The Empty Stocking Fund. They unloaded the honey from their trailer, packed it onto a pallet and wrapped it for us. The locally produced honey was donated by Battleford Furniture for the Empty Stocking Fund Christmas Hamper. Thank you!
